Isabella - Accessorizing The Italian Lady Or Dressing And Accessories Of An Italian Lady
In the Italian renaissance it was about status about having a lot of wealth and showing every one you had more. Accessories played a part in showing your asset. Courtesans used them as props to draw attention to ones self. Embellishing with jewelry and embroidery were ways of enhancing a gown. The style of hair and headdress worn also told people who you were. Then as now a Lady is not dressed until she is wearing her accessories.

What is a ballet du cheval anyway? What are those weird patterns they're doing on horseback? This short demo will give you an idea of what you're looking at next time you see an equestrian performance, like those done at BG 25th, done by our own Bryn Gwlad equestrians.
